Okonomiyaki With Seaweed Touch

Introduction

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, water, eggs, vegetable oil, baking powder, and salt. Mix until the batter is smooth and creamy. 

  1. Add the cabbage, onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, bacon, cheese, and okonomiyaki sauce to the batter and mix until all the ingredients are evenly distributed. 

  1. Heat a griddle or large skillet over medium-high heat and grease with a thin layer of oil. 

  1. Place a seaweed sheet on the griddle and pour the pancake batter. 

  1. Using the back of a spoon, spread the batter evenly over the seaweed. 

  1. Cook the okonomiyaki for 5 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown. 

  1. Carefully flip the okonomiyaki and cook for 5 minutes until the other side is golden brown. 

  1. Transfer the okonomiyaki to a plate and top with additional okonomiyaki sauce and grated cheese, if desired.
