Dairy-Free Strawberry and Banana Sea Moss Ice Cream
This charmingly nutritious recipe is ideal for a warm day, is simple to prepare, and is guaranteed to delight everyone in the household.
Ingredients:
-
Two ripe bananas (sliced and frozen)
-
One cup of frozen strawberries
-
Half a cup of sea moss gel
-
One-forth cup full-fat coconut milk (for creaminess)
-
Two tablespoons maple syrup (optional, for extra sweetness)
-
One teaspoon vanilla extract
Method:
-
Slice the bananas and freeze them for at least two hours (preferably overnight). Ensure the strawberries are also frozen.
-
In a high-powered blender or food processor, combine the frozen bananas, frozen strawberries, sea moss gel, coconut milk, maple syrup (if using), and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and creamy. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides occasionally to ensure everything is well-mixed.
-
If the mixture is too thick, add a little more coconut milk to achieve your desired consistency. If it's too soft, you can freeze it for about an hour to firm up.
-
Scoop the ice cream into bowls or cones. Top with fresh strawberry slices, banana slices, or a drizzle of additional sea moss gel. Enjoy chilled!
